Sr. GM/AVP-Engineering Head

Job Description:

Product Design & Development Study the Product Drawing for manufacturing Feasibility of the New Products as per the customer RFQs.  Work on design, materials compositions & specifications, and identify prospective vendors for supplies  Prepare zero-based costing based on material, development, and manufacturing costs  Design validation and testing of products as per the defined standard given by the customer  Work on prototyping of new products and ensure successful production as per the defined process and outcome  Ensure timely sample submission as per customer requirements for different phases  Responsible for developing and providing technical support information for products, design instructions and manuals  Lead different design improvement, cost optimization and process improvement projects, and make ensure all projects are completed in given timeline with desired output Process Designing Design shop floor layout and different stages of production line to ensure flawless production of quality products  Work on designing of tools & fixtures as per the available machines or new machines installation  Work on new design and do FMEA to ensure all risks analysis have done properly  Study machines diagram to understand different functions of machine and define process for different stages  Design and define process based on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and MOST Concept Manufacturing Engineering  Drive different cost optimization, manpower utilization, productivity improvement, line optimization, reduce per unit production cost, lean manufacturing, TPM, Production cycle time study and improvement, Kaizen, Six sigma, Environment, Health & Safety projects  Ensure all manufacturing processes, layout design, productivity norms and parameters (SOPs & SLAs) are laid down and documented properly and also ensure processes, SOPs and SLAs are followed by people rigorously  Installation of new machinery to improve the efficacy of the process and work on line realignment, reduce cycle time and other improvement plans to optimize resources  Work continuously on the automation of different processes to reduce human interventions Tool Designing & Development  Responsible for all aspects of in-house/ Outsource tool development, design, and testing activities to ensure the business objectives are met  Prepare tools design roadmap and ensure it is executed successfully  Responsible for the development and design of tools, fixtures, gauges, and other special devices for production  Finalize the New Tool Designs along with the dimensions based on customer requirements  Lead and co-ordinate resources within the Tool room to ensure all tooling is produced efficiently, on time and in line with quality standards, ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to  Ensure in-time inspection, testing, and calibration of the components, gauges, and testing equipment to meet customer requirements People Management  Cascade company's core values and purposes down to line  Ensure manpower availability in the Engineering department  Control on absenteeism and attrition  Multi-skilling of workforce for better manpower utilization
